# Create your first presentation

Go from an empty presentation to a playable slide without writing code.

## Create a presentation [#create-a-presentation]

1. Open [TrySlides](/en/presentations) and sign in with Google.
2. Create a new presentation, or choose a [template](/en/docs/design/templates-layouts).
3. Give it a recognizable title. You can rename it later from the presentation menu.
4. Select a slide in the left navigation.

## Add your first content [#add-your-first-content]

Add a text block from the toolbar and type a short title. Select the block to adjust its font, color and size in the properties panel. Drag it to position it; use the handles to resize or rotate it.

Add an image from your device or a public image URL. Keep text readable against the background. Add another slide when your next idea deserves its own frame; duplicate a slide to reuse its design.

## Preview and present [#preview-and-present]

Use Present to test the result. Navigate with the player controls or arrow keys. Animations and interactions run during playback, not while you are editing an element.

## Keep a copy [#keep-a-copy]

Check the save/synchronization status before closing. A local save and a cloud synchronization are different: pending changes may not be on another device yet. Download an editable `.tryslides` file for a portable backup.
