# Troubleshooting and common questions

Resolve import, synchronization, playback, sharing and MCP problems safely.

## I cannot edit on my phone [#i-cannot-edit-on-my-phone]

Mobile routes provide read-only preview and downloads. Open a desktop-sized browser to edit. This is not a Free-plan restriction.

## Another device does not show my changes [#another-device-does-not-show-my-changes]

Check the original device's synchronization status, internet connection and cloud storage allowance. Local-only content and pending uploads are not available elsewhere. Do not clear browser storage or delete the original as a workaround. First download an editable backup.

## My PDF lost animations or clickable elements [#my-pdf-lost-animations-or-clickable-elements]

PDF is a static image-based export. Use HTML or hosted playback for animations and interactions. PDF includes a page for Base and each Step; more pages than slides can be expected.

## My import was rejected [#my-import-was-rejected]

Only `.tryslides` presentation imports are supported. Check the file's integrity, package limits and version. Renaming another extension does not convert it. If an agent edited JSON, rebuild checksums and validate the document, not just the ZIP.

## My share link no longer opens [#my-share-link-no-longer-opens]

Check expiration, revocation, recipient identity, visitor limit, Pro entitlement and transfer allowance. Stopping cloud synchronization permanently revokes existing links; create a new one after restoring eligible sharing.

## My AI assistant cannot connect or edit [#my-ai-assistant-cannot-connect-or-edit]

Check custom remote MCP, Streamable HTTP and OAuth support first. Use the exact resource endpoint from [connection setup](/en/docs/ai/connect-mcp). Then inspect permissions, document scope, usage and whether the requested action requires a live editor. Reauthorize expired access; never paste account tokens into chat.

## Need help? [#need-help]

Contact [support@tryslides.app](mailto:support@tryslides.app) with the action, visible error and whether the problem occurred in the editor, export or MCP client. Do not include passwords, tokens, private sharing links or confidential presentation content.
