Terms of Service

Last updated: October 10, 2026

Prelaunch review draft. This document contains service-specific terms, but is not yet a finalized agreement for public launch.

1. About TrySlides

TrySlides is an independent software-as-a-service project developed in the United States. It provides a browser-based presentation editor, local exports, and account-based cloud features. “TrySlides,” “we,” and “us” refer to the project's operator, not to a separately incorporated company.

For service, billing, privacy, or content concerns, contact support@tryslides.com.

The service is in prelaunch development. Descriptions of planned features are not a promise that those features are currently available. A test checkout or sandbox subscription is not evidence of a live paid service.

2. Your account

Creating and editing presentations requires signing in with Google, including on the free plan. Authentication is handled through Supabase. TrySlides does not ask you to create a separate password or provide your Google password to us.

Keep your Google account and devices secure, and use only accounts you are authorized to access. Your display name and username can be edited in Settings; your authentication email and Google identity are managed through the sign-in provider. Contact support if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Your presentations and permitted use

Using TrySlides does not transfer ownership of your original presentations to us. You must have the rights and permissions needed for the text, images, fonts, links, and other material you upload, import, or share.

You authorize the processing of your content needed to carry out your requested editing, storage, synchronization, rendering, export, and sharing operations. This permission is limited to providing those functions; it is not permission to publish your private presentations for advertising.

Do not use TrySlides to distribute unlawful or infringing content, deliver malware or phishing material, access someone else's data without permission, bypass access controls or quotas, or disrupt the service. Report suspected infringement or abuse to support with enough information to identify the content. Do not send passwords or sensitive identity documents with an initial report.

4. Local storage, synchronization, and backups

TrySlides is local-first: the browser stores presentations, images, editing history, and pending changes. New presentations automatically attempt cloud synchronization, subject to connectivity and the account's storage allowance. Existing local-only, imported, or recovery documents are not automatically uploaded in bulk; their synchronization can be enabled explicitly.

A local save is not proof that an upload succeeded. Check the synchronization status before relying on another device or a shared link. Uploads can remain pending or be blocked by storage limits.

Signing out does not delete your local presentations. Clearing site data, losing access to a browser profile, or device failure can destroy work that was never synchronized. Signing in on a different device cannot recover a file that existed only in the original browser. Keep independent editable exports of important presentations.

After a confirmed Stop syncing operation, the current cloud copy is removed and the local presentation is retained. Its share links stop working. An offline request remains pending until the server confirms it. This does not erase local copies on other devices or files that recipients already obtained.

5. Free and paid features

The plan configuration provides:

  • A free local editor, presentation mode, and available local exports, with 100 MB of account-wide cloud storage.
  • An optional Pro subscription configured at USD 9 per month, with 5 GB of account-wide cloud storage. There is no configured annual plan or free trial.
  • When hosted sharing is available, a Pro allowance of 20 GB of shared-link delivery per subscription month, without rollover or automatic overage fees.

Storage allowances are occupied space, not a fresh storage grant every month. Presentation content, images, and retained cloud history can consume the allowance. When capacity is exhausted, additional space-increasing cloud writes can be blocked without preventing local editing or local export. Shared delivery can be paused when its transfer allowance is exhausted.

Only purchase features actually offered in the application. Review the price, currency, taxes, renewal frequency, and available features at checkout. Neither this draft nor a roadmap promises unlimited storage, uninterrupted synchronization, or access to unfinished features.

6. Payments, renewal, and cancellation

When live billing is available, checkout is provided by Polar as merchant of record. Polar's Buyer Terms also apply to the payment transaction.

Paid subscriptions renew until canceled. Use the billing portal accessible from Subscription to cancel renewal. A scheduled cancellation keeps the current paid benefits until the confirmed period end, then returns the storage allowance to the free tier and pauses paid sharing. Cancellation does not itself delete your presentations. If your stored content exceeds the free allowance, writes that increase occupied storage can be blocked; local editing and exports remain available.

Cancellation is not a refund request. For an unexpected charge or refund request, contact support@tryslides.com or Polar with the account email and purchase reference, not full card details. This draft does not establish a separate refund window, payment-failure grace period, or excess-storage deletion deadline. It does not override applicable consumer rights or Polar's transaction terms.

7. Sharing and downloads

When enabled, hosted sharing requires a cloud-synchronized presentation and the owner's active paid access. A link opens the latest successfully synchronized version, not necessarily your latest local edit.

Each link can have its own expiration, recipient restriction, visitor limit, and permitted download formats. A general link can be opened by anyone who possesses it while its conditions remain satisfied. Email-restricted links require the corresponding verified account. Shared downloads require a Google sign-in even if viewing does not.

Visitor limits count registered browsers, not verified people. Another device, private browsing, or cleared cookies can consume another visitor slot.

Revocation, expiration, or disabling downloads prevents new authorized deliveries through the relevant link. It cannot recall downloaded files, erase a recipient's copies, or prevent screenshots of displayed content. Only share material you are entitled to disclose. Download activity is recorded as explained in the Privacy Policy.

8. Availability and service limitations

TrySlides depends on your browser, network connection, and external hosting, authentication, storage, and billing providers. Features may be interrupted or changed during development. No specific uptime, recovery time, or uninterrupted editing across devices is promised by this draft.

Maintain your own backups and review exports before relying on them. These limitations do not exclude obligations or remedies that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.

9. Privacy, account requests, and updates

The Privacy Policy explains local and cloud data, service providers, cookies, sharing records, and privacy requests.

You can stop using the service at any time. Signing out, deleting a presentation, and canceling a subscription are different operations; none is an account-deletion request. There is currently no self-service account-deletion control. Send account-closure or personal-data requests to support@tryslides.com.

The date above identifies this version. Contract formation, the operator's complete legal identification, and remaining launch policies require review before these terms become effective. This draft does not impose a particular state's law, mandatory arbitration, or a waiver of statutory rights.
